Polygraph Testing

Polygraph testing also known as a lie detector test or exam, is a highly effective investigative tool traditionally only utilized by law enforcements and government. However, it is now available to all individuals and private companies. Our services are used regularly throughout Barbados and the Caribbean.

Polygraph testing, is proven to have an accuracy rate of over 98% and is used regularly by clients of all types to ensure infidelity, finding the truth on important or critical matters, or just exposing lies within a relationship of any kind. Our goal has been to provide our clients with accurate information.

All polygraph examinations are conducted in a professional and personal manner. Our firm specializes in helping individuals and businesses find the answers to the question that ultimately impact their functionality.

  • Pre-Employment

Polytrophic testing is a useful way in which to conduct background screening of potential employees. In certain cases, when conducting pre-employment screening, resumes, job applications and references do not always provide a full employment history.

  • Insurance fraud

Think you may have a bogus claim on your hands but everything looks perfect, then you may require our services. Our professionals will get to the truth of the matter, such processes can save your company millions in bogus claims over the long term and maximise profitability.

  • Business Theft

Polygraph testing is used as an investigative tool to aid in determining the truth when family members, children, acquaintances, or employees have fallen under suspicion to be involved in or have knowledge of recent thefts, embezzlement, vandalism of personnel property.

  • Family Issues

Are your children hiding something behind your back? Do you need to prove something to someone before you can go forward? Have you been unjustly accused of something? Polygraph testing can help in determining the validity of potential harmful accusations.

  • Infedelity

Are there questions in your relationship that you need to have answered? In most cases, the evidence of a cheating spouse is not definitive. When the trust is lost or in question in a relationship, a polygraph examination may be the only way to find out the truth.

Learn the Truth

It is an unfortunate fact that shading the truth or actual outright lying has become widespread in our country. In recent years several highly regarded historians have been proven to have stolen other scholars’ work.

Over 25% of University Students have submitted papers which they copied from the Internet. Employers can no longer trust resumes and job applications of prospective employees because they know that when they check references people will never say anything derogatory for fear of being sued.

Potential Liability Risk

When people are involved in public health and safety such as hospital staff, pharmaceutical manufacturers, workers in oil refineries, chemical plants and public utilities, airline personnel, truck and bus drivers, they come in contact with great numbers of others like bank tellers, teachers, some specialized retail employees, workers in centers controlling the flow of sensitive information, etc.

It is imperative to know these potential employees are what and who they profess to be.  To be certain, their background must be verified.

A polygraph used by a certified expert examiner can be invaluable. More than five decades of experience have shown that results are in excess of 98% accurate.

Getting Permission

Asking people permission need not be seen as intimidating or invasive of their privacy. Today we have accepted X-ray and metal detector screening at all airport, government building and some private facilities as necessary and beneficial to all.

With national borders becoming more permeable, terrorism epidemic and daily life more anxious, no one should be disturbed at being asked to submit to this simple procedure as long as it is made clear that everyone in sensitive positions are asked and that no individual is being subjected to discrimination.

Insurance fraud is any act committed with the intent to obtain a fradulent outcome from an insurance process. This may occur when a claimant attempts to obtain some benefit or advantage to which they are not otherwise entitled, or when an insurer knowingly denies some benefit that is due.

According to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation the most common schemes include: Premium Diversion, Fee Churning, Asset Diversion, and Workers Compensation Fraud. The perpetrators in these schemes can be both insurance company employees and claimants.

Insurance fraud has existed since the beginning of insurance as a commercial enterprise. Fraudulent claims account for a significant portion of all claims received by insurers, and cost billions of dollars annually. Types of insurance fraud are diverse, and occur in all areas of insurance.

Insurance fraud poses a significant problem, and governments and other organizations make efforts to deter such activities.

Employment Theft Issues

Polygraph Exams are used by many employers as an investigative tool to aid in determining whether or not employees had any involvement in, or knowledge of, recent thefts, embezzlement, or misappropriation of company funds and property.

Often, small business owners have friends and family members assisting them with their daily operations. Technically, they are not employees and with those individuals the business owner is not restricted to any limitations of federal law. Polygraph examinations are always voluntary, and no one individual should ever be intimidated or threatened into agreeing to participate.

It is important to convey to the employees that their employers are interested in testing them for one specific theft or incident. Most innocent employees will volunteer without hesitation but may have concerns over a $20.00 bill that they found on the floor a year ago and did not report.

Let them know that the polygraph exam will be confined to the theft or incident that is presently being investigated.

Guilty employees will also volunteer to take the test for fear of appearing guilty if they did not take it. Reassure employees that the examiner is not going to ask intrusive, personal questions about their lives, which are unrelated to the investigation.

This is one area of testing where experience makes a big difference. The wording of test questions is critical to achieve a successful exam; different people interpret words differently.
